We take reports against service providers very seriously and aim to protect both clients and the integrity of our platform.
If a client submits a report against a service provider, the matter will be reviewed and investigated based on the information and evidence provided.
Reports may include, but are not limited to, the following situations:
- A client paid a deposit or full amount and the service provider failed to deliver the service
- The service provider disappeared, became uncontactable, or abandoned the job
- The service provider failed to complete the job to an acceptable or agreed standard
- There is an open case, charge, or formal complaint against the service provider relating to fraud, theft, or misconduct
- Repeated complaints indicating a pattern of unethical, unprofessional, or deceptive behaviour
Investigation Process
All reports are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
We may request supporting documentation such as:
- Proof of payment
- Written agreements or quotations
- Communication records
- Case numbers or official documentation (where applicable)
Submitting false, misleading, or malicious reports is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or removal.
Disciplinary Action & Right to Terminate
If, after investigation, we determine that a service provider has acted dishonestly, unlawfully, or in serious breach of our standards, we reserve the right to take one or more of the following actions:
- Suspend the service provider’s listing
- Permanently remove the service provider from the platform
- Ban the service provider from advertising on this platform indefinitely
- Flag the service provider internally to prevent future registrations
We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or terminate any service provider’s listing or subscription at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion, particularly where user safety, trust, or platform integrity is at risk.
Our decision is final and made in the best interest of users and the platform.
Important Notice
HandyGuy operates as an independent advertising and directory platform and does not mediate payments or contractual disputes between clients and service providers. However, we reserve the right to restrict or remove access to our platform where serious concerns are substantiated.
By advertising on this platform, service providers acknowledge and accept these terms and understand that violations may result in immediate and permanent removal, without entitlement to refunds.
